REVOLUTION PROJECT: DESIGN APPLIED TO COMBAT SPORTS
"After 65 years of experience as a leading player in ring sports, our company aims every year to improve its productivity through the search for attractive, functional and innovative products." A designer for companies 2011 "was an extraordinary opportunity for our company because we strongly believe in the creative and dynamic mind of those who, after long years of study, interface with passion and enthusiasm in the world of work. We had asked the guys who participated in this project to be fully guided in the "LEONE world "And to get involved in our history, our values and our projects before focusing on the ideation of any concept for the Revolution line."
"It should have had a dynamic and captivating design, enhance the Italian pride of our company with a look projected towards tomorrow, always keeping in mind that these products would have been worn and lived and therefore taking care not to lose sight of the functional aspect and their comfort. The goal, centered, was to overturn the production and functionality rules of the technical products that make up our core business. "

FROM THE TRIENNALE OF MILAN IN 2011 TO THE EXHIBITION DURING EXPO 2015
"The partnership created between the designers and the management of Leone® is certainly one of the most interesting and fascinating cases of the 2011 edition of UDPI. The history of Italian design recognizes precisely in the particular dialogue between the designer and the entrepreneur the characterizing element of the success of the Made in Italy. [...] The particular and direct dialogue between designer and entrepreneur, combined with a relationship of trust and esteem, has long been the basic ingredient for products with a strong innovative identity and capable of interpreting at the time the values of a brand itself. [...] This extraordinary but at the same time typical story summarizes on one hand the potential and the opportunities underlying an experience like UDPI, on the other hand it denotes the predisposition of companies like Leone®, who see in design the ability to translate innovation and corporate values into tangible, quality products with a strong vocation to tell stories of beauty and functionality too."
Based on "Innovation in progress" by Christian Tubito for A Designer for Companies - Milan Chamber of Commerce and Material Connexion Italy.

"Through the project" A Designer for Companies "the Province of Milan [in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce] wanted to support the meeting, the collaboration between the creativity of the design students and the know-how of the Milanese companies, aware how important are the strong and dynamic dialogue and collaboration between education and training. [...] Our goal, through this initiative, is both to encourage the spread of a new culture of innovation, increasingly based on the use of the talent of young people, [...] and to make innovation a way of being, a reality in constant evolution. NEW REVOLUTION
Who knows the history of Leone1947 knows that Revolution means innovation. The new GN105 carry on research and development in the sector, being in fact the first Leone gloves with full back-wrist multilayer. This particular structure of the padding allows to have the same impact response along the entire back surface of the glove. The single piece also more effectively prevents sprains on the wrist. Another great novelty lies in the double closure system: not only can the gloves be closed using the classic velcro, but it is also possible to use the innovative "Quick Fit" closure. Perfect for workouts that alternate circuits and functional training with quick bag exchanges and sparring. The Top Quality buffalo leather gives these gloves excellent resistance and comfort, while the perforated palm with lining allows constant hand transpiration.
