Italian promoter and organizer on the scene for 35 years, boasts one of the most important cursus honorum nationally and internationally. The company, expertly managed by the Cherchi family, organizes the main national and international professional boxing events, supported by the most important television broadcasters. All this thanks to a constant attention to the growth of young Italian boxing talents that allowed OPI SINCE 1982 in a short time to create the most prestigious national boxing team.

All fans of noble art will surely remember the victories in the world championships obtained by Giovanni Parisi (9 March 1996), Vincenzo Nardiello (6 July 1996), Stefano Zoff (7 August 1999), Michele Piccirillo (13 April 2002), Cristian Sanavia ( June 5, 2004), Silvio Branco (October 10, 2003 and July 27, 2006), Simona Galassi (March 29, 2008 and October 28, 2011) and Giacobbe Fragomeni (October 24, 2008).
In the last few years, great talents have passed through the team, including Gianluca Branco, Michele Di Rocco, Luca Giacon and Antonio Moscatiello. The team created by Salvatore Cherchi today is full of European champions and international belts: Fabio Turchi, Emiliano Marsili, Emanuele Blandamura, Daniele Scardina, Matteo Signani, Devis Boschiero among others.
World leader in the organization and production of boxing events, it boasts world champions and Olympic medals on its roster: Matchroom Boxing has organized over 100 events in the last 5 years, including 57 world titles. On 7 November 2018 Matchroom Boxing, OPI Since 82 and DAZN have created a historic partnership to bring boxing back to the glories of the past in Italy. The future of Italian boxing starts from here.

Professional boxing returned to Milan on 5 December 2014. Thanks to the brave Alessandro Cherchi after more than fifty years the glorious Teatro Principe di Milano reopens, in viale Bligny 52. From 28 December 1949 to 31 May 1961 the theater hosted dozens of events featuring the best Italian boxers, from Duilio Loi to Sandro Lopopolo, from Carmelo Bossi to Tiberio Mitri and many others. For this reason, the legendary director Luchino Visconti chose this location to shoot the boxing scenes of the film "Rocco and his brothers" (a masterpiece of cinema from the sixties of the last century, with Alain Delon and Claudia Cardinale). Today “il Principe” is giving new life to young talents by offering them a prestigious scenario and allowing established boxers to fight more frequently.
